What is an APS certificate?

An APS certificate is a document from the Academic Evaluation Centre (Akademische Prüfstelle) verifying that an Indian applicant's academic documents are genuine. Since 2022 it has been mandatory for Indian students applying to German universities and for German student visa applications, and universities will not process an application without the APS number.
