What Happinesstales collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed.

What we collect
Only what the work requires. When you send a brief we receive your name, email address, the programme you are applying to, your deadline and whatever you write in the message field.
If you go ahead, we additionally receive what you enter on the intake form and the documents you send us, typically a CV, a transcript and any existing draft, along with the messages and calls we exchange while the work is under way.

What we do with it
We use it to quote the work, to write the documents you commissioned, and to answer your questions about them. That is the whole list.
We do not sell it, we do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for, and we do not use your documents to train any model.
How long we keep it
Interview recordings are deleted 30 days after the final document is delivered. Draft files and correspondence are kept for 12 months, in case you return for another application cycle, and deleted after that.
You can ask for anything to be deleted sooner, at any point after delivery, and we will do it within seven days and confirm.
Who else sees it
The writer assigned to your application, and nobody else in the ordinary course of the work. We use a small number of third-party services to operate: an email provider to receive and answer your messages, a plagiarism-checking service for the similarity report, and web hosting.
We do not publish client work, and we do not use it as a sample or in a portfolio.
Analytics and cookies
This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no cross-site tracking. If analytics are added later, this section will name the provider and say what it records before it is switched on.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the address below and we will respond within 30 days.
