What an SOP costs in Kerala

In short

Prices in Kerala run from about Rs 500 for a template filled in from a form to around Rs 15,000 for a document written from a verified profile with revisions. The price mostly buys time: how long somebody spends understanding your record before writing. Below roughly Rs 2,000, nobody is spending that time, whatever the page says.

This is the question everyone asks second, after whether they need the service at all, and the honest answer involves saying what our own prices are and why.

What follows is how the market is structured, what each band actually delivers, and the questions that tell you which band you are buying from.

What the price is paying for

A statement of purpose is not a long document. A thousand words takes a competent writer a couple of hours. What takes time is everything before that: reading your transcript, finding out what your final-year project actually involved, checking the programme's modules against your record, and working out which two of your six experiences are worth the space.

That is why price tracks time rather than word count. A service charging Rs 500 is not writing faster than one charging Rs 8,000. It is skipping the part where somebody learns who you are.

The bands, and what each one is

Under Rs 2,000, you are buying a template with your details inserted, usually from a form. The structure will be sound and the content will be about nobody in particular, which is exactly the pattern admissions readers and visa officers are now trained to spot.

Between Rs 2,000 and Rs 5,000, you are usually buying one draft from a writer handling many files that week, with limited revisions. Quality varies with who happens to be assigned.

Above roughly Rs 6,000, you should expect a conversation before anything is written, a document built from your actual record, and revisions that are not rationed to one. If you are paying in this band and did not speak to the person writing, you are overpaying for the lower band.

What we charge, and why

Our own prices start at Rs 2,000 for reviewing and editing a draft you have written, Rs 3,500 for a statement of purpose or personal statement written from scratch, and Rs 8,999 for a full application set including the academic CV, tailored variants and a consistency check across the documents.

We also refund 75 per cent if the work is not what you were promised, which is a commitment that is only affordable if the work is actually done properly in the first place.

We publish these figures because a service that will not tell you the price until you share your phone number has told you something about how it sells.

The four questions worth asking anyone

Who writes it, and will I speak to them? If the answer is a form, the document will read like a form.

How many revisions, and over what period? Unlimited revisions in three days is not the same as three revisions across an application season.

What happens if I am refused? An honest service will tell you plainly that no writer controls a visa decision, and that rewriting after a refusal is different work.

Will you tell me if I do not need this? We turn away people whose drafts are already good enough, and the answer to that question separates a practice from a shop.

Related questions

Is a more expensive SOP more likely to get a visa?

No document controls a visa decision. What a better document does is remove the reasons for doubt that are within your control: a vague study plan, an unexplained gap, a funding story that does not match the bank statements.

Why do some services charge Rs 500?

Because they are selling a template at volume. There is nothing dishonest about a cheap template if it is sold as one; the problem is when it is sold as bespoke writing.

Do you charge extra for a letter of explanation after a refusal?

It is separate work, priced separately, because it starts from the refusal letter and the file that produced it rather than from a blank page.

Send us the draft, or the deadline.

Tell us the programme, the word limit and the date the portal closes. We will say plainly whether we can do it and what it costs, before anything is charged.
