How we research, verify and correct what we publish

Applicants act on the numbers on this site. These are the rules every number is published under, written so that you can hold us to them.

Reviewed

Primary sources only, quoted and linked

A visa rule comes from the government that enforces it: IRCC, UK Visas and Immigration, the Department of Home Affairs, USCIS and the State Department, the DAAD and the German consulates. A university requirement comes from that university's admissions page. A fee or a funds figure comes from the page that sets it. We quote the sentence, link the page, and record the date we read it.

We do not cite consultancy blogs, aggregator sites or forums as the source of a fact, and we do not repeat a number because every other site repeats it. Where the only available source is secondary, the page says so.

Dated, and re-checked

Every guide and article shows the date it was last verified. Figures that change on a schedule, such as maintenance funds, proof-of-funds thresholds and post-study work rules, are reviewed when the authority announces a change and at least once an intake. If a figure on this site disagrees with the official page, the official page is right and we would like to know: write to the address below.

No invented statistics, success rates or testimonials

We do not publish an approval rate, a success percentage or a client count that we cannot evidence. The testimonials on this site are public comments reproduced as written, with their source named. We do not mark them up as reviews of our own business, because Google's guidelines do not permit self-serving review markup and because a star figure we assigned ourselves would mean nothing.

No document on this site is a client's. The annotated examples are written for the page, say so, and are not offered as a template.

Who writes, and who is accountable

Guides and articles carrying a byline are written or reviewed by Kevin K, who is responsible for their accuracy. Pages without a byline are the work of the same practice. We do not accept paid placements, affiliate links or commission from universities, lenders or test providers, and no page on this site recommends an institution in exchange for payment.

Where software is used

Writing tools are used for checking and formatting, not for inventing content: a model cannot know an applicant's record or a visa rule's current wording, and the risks of letting it guess are the subject of our own article on the question. Every factual claim is checked by a person against the source before it is published.

Corrections

When we are wrong we fix the page, update its verified date, and note the correction on the page where the error was material. Reports of errors, and requests for the source of any figure, go to the address below and are answered.

Report an error

Email happinesstales.kerala@gmail.com with the page address and the source you believe is current. Corrections are made on the page and dated.
